This light-dependent resistor (LDR) senses ambient light with 100–200kΩ dark resistance dropping to <10kΩ in bright conditions—simple analog input for auto-lights or dusk detectors. Ideal for first-year engineering students pairing with Arduino analog pins for environmental monitoring.
